Arsenal Transfers: 10 Players Arsene Wenger Should Sign in January

9. Sime Vrsaljko

Sime Vrsaljko, who I would like to see at Arsenal just to hear the varied pronunciation by commentators, is definitely one to keep your eye on for the future. Only 20 years old, and a versatile player, capable of performing on both the left and right hand side of defence, and has been heralded as exciting a prospect in Croatian football as Luka Modric. That is a great comparison, but fortunately Vrsaljko is much stronger in the tackle then Modric, and perhaps its about time we halted the number of Croatian players moving to the white half of North London. Despite his tender age he has already made 78 appearances for Lokomotiva and Dinamo Zagreb, and due to his reasonable anonymity it would be possible to sign him at a bargain price. A quality player at the very origins of his career is someone that Wenger thrives on signing and moulding into a great talent, which makes Vrsaljko a desirable signing, even if Sagna chooses to sign a new deal.
