Even if neither of the pair leave Chelsea there is still the issue of finding a long-term replacement for John Terry, whose powers are on the wane and only seems to lift trophies these days not win them. This is where Mangala, a talented French U21 international, could come in. Mangala has become a regular at the heart of Porto's defence despite his tender years and fierce competition from Rolando, Otamendi and Maicon. Jose Mourinho is said to be
interested in singing the centre back, and Mangala said this was: "flattering because Chelsea are a great club and Mourinho is a great coach." The one problem for the transfer could be Mangala's
release clause being set at £30 million, and Porto are renowned for only accepting offers if they meet a player's release clause. This stubborness has killed deals for Hulk and Joao Moutinho in the past, and Porto may be reluctant to sell more key players afer already seeing Moutinho and James Rodriguez move to Monaco this window.
