2. Daniel Sturridge - Centre Forward

Sturridge is actually very underrated despite being highly rated, if that makes sense. The 24-year-old has been a revelation at Anfield since arriving from Chelsea last year- how they must be kicking themselves- finding the back of the net 36 times in just 50 games. That's better than Liverpool legends Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez managed in their first half century of matches for the Reds. Perhaps his slightly over confident attitude puts some people off, but the fact of the matter is that he has blossomed into one of the Premier League's best strikers over the last 18 months. Rodgers played him centrally from the start, unlike at Chelsea and City, and he has shown exactly what he's capable of. Many are questioning whether he will be a lost soul without Suarez around this season, but he has started the season with a winning goal, and his pace, movement and lethal finishing will ensure he bangs the goals in with or without the Uruguayan by his side. Unless a world-class player like Radamel Falcao is bought in by the club before the end of the transfer window, Sturridge is now very much the spearhead of Liverpool's attack. He will love that responsibility, and will be looking to silence his former club next Monday.
