Liverpool Transfers: 5 Goalscoring Options Brendan Rodgers Must Consider

1. Ince, Thomas

Current team: Blackpool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-LQPNQ9qAo This player represents the poor way Liverpool have done business recently; in a word: stupidly. Either Kenny Dalglish or Damien Comolli deemed this talented winger a reserve at best (admittedly when his progress seemed to stutter) and therefore he left to find regular football - since then he's absolutely exploded, albeit it in the Championship. Some of his goals have been wonderful and Ince in my opinion represents a really good future player. You watch Gillette Soccer Saturday and most weeks you'll hear his name mentioned for an assist or a goal. Think about the potential before you doubt this one - imagine Sterling AND Ince flanking Luis Suarez and all of a sudden Liverpool have a really enticing attacking force.

Would He Fit The Role?

Well, he's an out and out tricky winger with a bagful of skills and an eye for a shot, from distance or in the box, so yeah I think he'd love BR's 4-3-3 system. He also represents a realistic opportunity to get someone into the first XI without having to shift Luis Suarez, like Llorente, Bent and Huntelaar would require - just because Liverpool need goals doesn't mean the player has to be a striker and sharing the goals around has been Liverpool's key problem this term so here's the perfect way to share the goals around the positions - like they did prior to this season with wingers Bellamy, Maxi and Kuyt all chipping in to help the strikers. Would he fit? Most definitely.

What's The Likelihood?

Well, he's been heavily linked with a return to Liverpool and he's also quoted to have said he still holds the club in high affection. And the price is supposed to be about £6m so it's well within Liverpool's modest budget. The thing making this deal the most likely one on this list is the fact Liverpool will be able to sign the talented winger for a much cheaper fee than any other club because they inserted a clause into the sale meaning they would receive a 35% selling on fee - if the winger goes back to Liverpool then the sell on fee simply becomes a discount. The question is can Liverpool afford a striker and a winger? With a striker seemingly on top of BR's shopping list. Also, would he want to go back? LFC already threw him out once so why go back? To prove himself? Who knows? Maybe the switch of management means he believes he may get a fair crack of the whip this time. Likelihood = 7 or 8/10. A big possibility. Do you agree with the players on this list? Do you have any other suggestions I maybe could have included? Please share your views in the comments below!
