Man City Transfers: 10 Terrible Signings Of Recent Years

1. Jo

jo Who could forget Jo? The man that narrowly avoided having more letters in his name than goals to it. What an achievement that would've been! Signed in 2008 from CSKA Moscow, the 6ft 2 Brazilian struggled to replicate the excellent form he found in the Russian league, scoring just 3 goals in all competitions in his debut season at City. He was soon loaned out to Everton, where he had slightly more success, netting 7 times in his two seasons at the Merseyside club. Jo then went on loan to Galatasaray, before returning to Manchester for the 2010/11 campaign, where he mainly acted as a substitute. City eventually sold Jo in the summer of 2011 for £6.5 million, only a fraction of the estimated £20 million the Blues paid for him just three years earlier.
