Man Utd: 10 Stats That Prove Moyes Is Getting It All Wrong

2. Mr.Reliable Hasn't Been Reliable

During the 2012-13 season, it seemed that United could rely on Javier Hernandez to come on and score if they were ever in a rut - he was quickly becoming the new Solksjaer, even if he possibly wasn't happy with his lack of starts himself. This season, however, that hasn't been the case: the Mexican striker has scored just 1 goal in 13 games so far, and hasn't scored at all in his last 8 league games, which is a remarkably poor return for Mr.Reliable. With United struggling to score goals and Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney sidelined with long-term injuries, Moyes is therefore relying on Welbeck and Hernandez to deliver the goods for Manchester United. With Welbeck keeping up his side of the bargain, Hernandez has struggled to reclaim the form he found under Ferguson and United are suffering as a result.
