The odds-on favourites to land Vidic, Inter have been struggling for form recently, and if consistency is needed then that is what Nemanja Vidic can provide. Inter have reportedly offered the United captain a 2-year, £50,000 a week contract, and The Telegraph suggests Vidic has already accepted the terms. However, the title of the linked article is rather misleading - the sub-heading explains how Inter are odds-on favourites, rather than Nemanja actually confirming he has agreed a deal with the club. Currently sixth in Serie A, Inter have struggled to regain the success they had just a few seasons ago, finishing ninth in the last campaign which resulted in Walter Mazzarri being instated. Under Mazzarri, Inter have been able to pull off some decent pieces of business, the particular highlight being Hernanes joining from division rivals Lazio. If the Inter boss can agree a deal with Nemanja Vidic, this would prove the best piece of business in his short career. With ageing centre backs Walter Samuel, Hugo Campagnaro and Christian Chivu, and Andrea Ranocchia linked with a move to just about anyone, Inter will be left with few options for the future. Namely, just Juan Jesus and Marco Andreolli, with the latter making just one appearance since joining the club. Vidic not only provides more strength in depth, but a ton of experience at the back that would be lacking should Samuel, Campagnaro and/or Chivu retire in the near future. Reports suggest that Inter Milan will do all they can to sign Nemanja Vidic, and this should be the road to go down for the Serbian great.
