Man Utd: 5 Reasons Why Nani Has No Future At Old Trafford (And Never Will)

3. Lack Of Match Fitness & Form

Nani Nani's stats over the course of his six seasons at Old Trafford make for grim reading. He has only twice hit double figures for the Red Devils since his move from Sporting Lisbon and for an attacking midfielder, his goal scoring record is far from impressive. This season has been a total write-off for the Portuguese' largely due to injury and he has only played the full 90 minutes once since last October. There's perhaps little wonder then that he has only managed 4 goals this term but when he has been fit he simply hasn't performed. He was the worst player on the pitch against Chelsea yesterday and was repeatedly wasteful on the ball. Every time he takes a corner, he seems destined to hit the first defender without fail, leading to agonising groans from the fans. Yes, he has a good shot in him every now and again, and has scored some absolute pearlers throughout his career, but his magical touch deserts him far, far too often for him to have any longevity at Old Trafford.
