Man Utd Transfers: 5 World Class Replacements For Wayne Rooney

2. Neymar

Neymar is one of the most precocious talents in world football. The 21 year old has already made a name for himself as a world class striker despite his youth and he has all the qualities to one day become a world beater in the same way as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo did. The Santos striker scored 43 goals in 47 appearances last season and 14 in 17 league appearances for the Brazilian outfit. Throughout his short career he has already netted 129 times in his 200+ appearances, which is the very definition of "prodigious". Neymar recently stated he could be open to a move to the Premier League, though a reported asking price of £40.3 million has been quoted for the young star. As with most world class players, the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City have invariably been linked with the Brazilian also. However, buying Neymar would seem to fit into United's transfer policy of procuring and then helping to mature young talents as they did with Ronaldo.
