Man Utd Transfers: 7 Ridiculous January Targets Moyes Definitely Shouldn't Sign

3. Wesley Sneijder

Wesley Sneijder has constantly been linked with a move to United, with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson chasing the midfielder since 2011. And successor David Moyes has also been linked with the Dutchman since taking the reins at Old Trafford, with reports suggesting he is set to offer Nani and Antonio Valencia in exchange for the Galatasaray star. United, who are believed to have failed with a £6 million bid for Sneijder over the summer, are tipped to make one final attempt to land the ex-Real Madrid man, but any move would be folly considering how long and protracted their interest has been. Thus far, few rewards have been reaped from the Red Devil's pursuit of Sneijder, and there is a real danger this is now becoming a wild goose chase, for if the 29-year-old had any interest in moving to the Theatre of Dreams, he would have done so by now. United should abandon their interest lest this saga be plunged into further embarrassment.
