Darren Bent has been
linked with a move to St James' Park in the last few weeks as he looks for a way out of Villa Park. Whilst Cabaye is a midfielder and Bent is a striker, if the club managed to secure the Englishman the deal could result in Newcastle playing a 4-4-2 formation with Bent and Cisse upfront whilst Moussa Sissoko Cheick Tiote, Ben Arfa, Jonas Gutierrez play as the four midfielders. reportedly available for £6 million and wages of £70,000-a-week. At 29-years-old Bent is a reasonably decent striker but his stats of just six in
23 games in competitions for Villa isnt the strongest of records. Nevertheless Bent can bring experience to the club and with the likes of Moussa Sissoko and Ben Arfa assisting the striker he will likely improve his goal tally.
