Swansea City: 5 Managers Who Could Replace Brendan Rodgers

Other Candidates

Whilst these five managers are who we think have the best chance, or have the best case, of succeeding Brendan Rodgers, there are plenty of other names being bandied about. Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague was quoted on Twitter stating that "Swansea has prepared reports on managers from La Liga in case Rodgers was leaving". Maybe Levante's Cinderella story of a season hasn't gone unnoticed and manager Juan Ignacio Martinez could be an option? Another manager who is out of a job but potentially out of Swansea's realistic shortlist but would fit the bill to a tee is former Roma manager Luis Enrique. Enrique left his position as Barcelona B coach to join Roma and maintains the Barcelona style of play which would suit Swansea so well. Lastly there is the option of an internal appointment. Assistant coaches Colin Pascoe and Alan Curtis have taken charge before when the club have been without a permanent manager however chariman Huw Jenkins has often found success with external applicants.
