Yes, they've already had some bad news in their attempt to sign the former Chelsea and Newcastle striker, but there's no reason Villa can't go back in with a bigger more attractive deal to bring his experience - and most importantly his goals - to their survival campaign. Ba is strong, athletic and lethal from all over the final third, and while his medical history is far from unblemished, he would be the kind of gamble that could pay off in spades. And while his attitude at Newcastle was iffy at times, if he feels loved (and a big contract that would be offset by the money not lost to relegation) he tends to score goals - which is all that should matter.
