QPR striker Austin has been the subject of interest for several clubs in the hunt for a goal scorer. The 26-year-old has impressed at every level hes played, from the English League One through to the Premier League. First at Swindon, then Burnley and QPR, Austin has a goal to game ratio of roughly 1:2 in the leagues. Last season he netted 18 times in the league, a record worth noting when considering this feat came during a season that ended in relegation for Rangers. With Loic Remys future at the Bridge unclear, Mourinho may see Austin as a replacement. Strong in the air and boasting a knack for finding the net in the trickiest of situations, the centre forward has shown he can handle the jump from the Championship to the Premier League. Should the Blues sign him, and no strikers moved in the opposite direction, the Englishman could find himself bottom of the pecking order, however, Falcao may not extend his Chelsea stay after his season loan from Monaco is up, and by then Remy could be elsewhere; leaving only Costa ahead of Austin. The London club will also be spurred on with the announcement from QPR manager Chris Ramsey that his player will only leave for a top-half side, presumably ruling out Newcastle and Aston Villa from the chase. If that is the case, the £15m-rated man could have to choose between Tottenham and Chelsea. If his decision is based upon first team football, it may be the former who gain his services, but a want for silverware may swing his decision the other way. Which of these players would you most like to see Chelsea sign? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
An admiration for the arrogant personalities in football. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Simeone, even Joey Barton. If you were to ask who I'd rather have in my team, Messi or Ronaldo? The latter.
