England 1-0 Denmark: Three Lions Player Ratings

Luke Shaw (for Cole, 45): The Southampton left back gave a good account of himself on his senior debut. He made some nice overlapping runs and appeared unnerved by the occasion. At 18-years-old he has many caps ahead of him, whether he goes to Brazil ahead of Cole remains to be seen however. 7/10Adam Lallana (for Wilshere, 59): A player who before Wednesday's game was on the fringes of the squad, but now may well have booked a seat on the plane. Assisted the goal and looked every bit an international player with some neat touches during his 30 minute cameo. 7/10Danny Welbeck (for Rooney, 60): Another player who gave a nice 30 minute cameo. Welbeck is clearly second choice to Sturridge, but he does offer running and a potential goal threat of the bench. Had a great chance saved on 70 minutes by an impressive Kasper Schmeichel. 6/10Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (for Henderson, 77): Unlucky not to start the match given his good form for Arsenal. Looked lively when he came on and clearly brimming with confidence. A favourite of Hodgson's, Oxlade-Chamberlain will most likely be in the final 23-man squad. 5/10Andros Townsend (for Sterling, 86): England's hero from their final qualification matches was only given five minutes to strut his stuff against Denmark. Still recovering from an injury and will face a fight to make the plane to Brazil. 5/10James Milner (for Sturridge, 88): The Manchester City man was only given a few minutes by Hodgson, but is still expected to go to Brazil. Seen as England's utility man and a loyal servant to the international team. 5/10
