Newcastle 2014-15 Season Review - Player Ratings

Head Coach 2. John Carver - 1

Games Managed (All Competitions): 20 Wins: 3 Draws: 4 Losses: 13 Win Percentage: 15%
The less said the better to be honest. Yes Carver may have gotten Newcastle over the line - and only just for that matter - but he took over a side in ninth on 26 points halfway through the campaign and collected just another 13 in the remaining 19 Premier League matches. Tactically inept, poor at motivating his players, and a man who used excuses just as bad as Alan Pardew's - like blaming the "hot conditions" for the 2-1 loss at Queens Park Rangers, when it was just 18 degrees celsius - Carver was just hopeless. Any other manager would have guided Newcastle clear of safety long before Carver did, and that is simply no way he can be given that job now.
