Newcastle Transfers: 10 Dream Goalscoring Options Pardew Musn't Ignore

9. Luiz Adriano

Luiz Adriano enjoyed a breakthrough season for Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013-14, scoring an incredible 20 goals in 25 league appearances as well as three in eight European outings, and has been tracked by a number of English teams in the past, including Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool. And, off the back of the most prolific season of his career so far, Newcastle too should track the Brazilian-born Ukraine international. Adriano has been showing signs of his goal-scoring potential again recently, and has already opened his account in the two appearances he has made since the Ukrainian Premier League recommenced on 25 July. Newcastle strikers in the past have been quick and powerful and Adriano certainly adheres to that criteria. The Magpies have recently done business with Shakhtar, loaning Facundo Ferreyra earlier this summer. And they should also enquire about the services of the South American.
