1. Nicolas Gaitan
One final option for Tottenham this summer if they're looking for an alternative to Willian is Benfica's Nicolas Gaitan. The Argentina international has been on Spurs's north London rivals
Arsenal's radar this summer but so far, nothing has come of the speculation which could leave the door open for the Lilywhites to make an offer. Gaitan can play on the left-wing or in attacking midfield and was one of Benfica's stand-out players last season as he helped the Portuguese club reach the final of the Europa League with one goal and an assist in 13 European outings. The 25-year-old also scored three times in 24 league games for Benfica and his recent form has also seen him linked with a move to Manchester United. He can play on the left or right wing and has been credited with his excellent dribbling skills and close ball control, and
has been described as a player endowed with South American technique and style, but comfortable with the rigours of European tactical discipline. Gaitan is also beginning to establish himself in the Argentine national side having been capped at senior level 6 times and is a player with real promise.
