Barcelona: Should Cesc Fabregas Stay Or Go?

Tito Vilanova And The Future

Fabregas was somewhat of a bit-part player last season when the team was fully fit. He did enjoy more playing time when the players were injured, but he was still not a guaranteed regular. Nevertheless, Pep Guardiola managed to keep Fabregas happy. Much like his unique relationship with Messi, Guardiola€™s man-management skills have shone with this issue too. Tito Vilanova does not appear to be able to keep Fabregas happy. Barcelona normally try to keep such things as a private matter, but Fabregas has made this public. He is not happy. Fabregas also may be concerned with the emergence of Thiago Alcantara. The 21 year-old is already capped for Spain and has as regular central midfield position in his sights. Cesc Fabregas was bought as a replacement and Thiago Alcantara has emerged as one. This further reduces Fabregas€™ playing time and his place as a guaranteed successor to Xavi. With such a successful youth academy as La Masia, who knows who could emerge in the next few seasons. Maybe Fabregas should play it safe and leave.
